Gays and Lesbos

As the bible goes, God created man and woman, Adam and Eve. The only 2 souls on Earth, made to love each other and produce offsprings. Soon, generations after generations of human began uncovering new land and occupying Earth's land surface. No longer 1 man, 1 woman.

Technology advanced, minds opened, humans start to stray from the solely accepted man-woman relationship. Concept of homosexual arises, starting from an outcaste category to a commonly accepted fact lately. Possibly ard three decade ago, homosexuals were still being treated with a different eye. They were despised upon, regarded as a disgrace and seek only acceptance.

A frequent misconception of homosexuals was that they are perceived as AIDs carrier, even though they're just plain simple lovers. Public tend to walk away from them, for fear of being infected with this incurable disease. It was only until recently, when scientists revealed that AIDs has a high risk of infecting people with multiple sex partners, not entirely homosexuals, that people begin to accept them.

Exactly who sets the rule that homosexuals are not part of the society? Aint they humans too? When God created human, did He anticipate such a problem? Gay marriages were passed, rejected, approved but to be voided again. Can't they really have their foothold in society? Just why is it that they have to be treated discriminately?

But most of these couples do not seem to mind at all. Especially in Singapore, an advanced country, its becoming sort of a trend among the youngsters. From admiration sprouts a love relationship, particularly in girl schools, whereby these love desiring teenagers long for a companion but were surrounded by their same sex. Lesbians could be seen hugging each other, kissing and some other actions which even a boy-girl couple will not usually do in public. To some, the author included, it seems kinda gross, whereby others just don't seem to be bothered, while the couple in question continues what they're doing, oblivious to the world outside.

Typical butches, the "active" or the "guy", sports a short hairdo, and are usually shorter than the girl. Normally they'll bind their breast or wear sports bra, making their torso as flat as possible. Baggy tees and pants-wear occupies their wardrobe. The extremists would go to the extent of making their voices coarse with coffee powder or even grow a mustache.

Gays are not as expressive as lesbians. They seldom hold hands in public and they don't dress in drags unless they're transvestites, who do not belong in the category of gays. They could well be your average Joe in the office, maybe a bit more sissy for the "passive" one (but there's no condemning all sissies are gays) or they could be your gym trainer, packed with a fit bod.

Gays, lesbians, why do they prefer to be with their own sex? Could it be, like stated above, that they admire the other part, that they changed their sex orientation? Could it be, that they feel insecure with the opposite sex, and they are able to get better understanding from their same gender? Could it even be the power of media, that the trend spreads across continents, that minds are opened, that from becoming more accepted, they display their acts of affection in public, intending to make it a norm? Reasons galore, but unless we're one, we would never understand the kind of love they have for each other.

Whatever it is, its a kind of true love thats oblivious to the world's piercing eyes.
